Selling land frequently asked questions
Q: Do you pay full market value for the land?
A: No, we purchase at 25%-35% below market value.
Q: I want to sell my land as quickly as possible, how long before I have the money?
A: With our Sell Land Quickly scheme, we generally complete within 3-6 weeks from your initial phone call to us (depending on the type of land). If you need to complete urgently we can arrange to complete within 7-14 days, however this may incur a small charge to skip the queue.
Q: I have debts tied to my land, will that put you off?
A: No, the debt will be cleared by your solicitor prior to completion and you will receive the remaining monies on completion of the sale.
Q: Are there any types of land you don’t buy?
A: Yes, agricultural or green belt land that cannot be developed.
Q: What if I want to sell a property? Do you do that too?

Q: The land was an inheritance, I haven’t even seen it, is that a problem?
A: Not, at all.

Q: Do you buy land anywhere in the UK?
A: We only purchase in England & Wales
Q: How much do you pay for land?
A: Offers are not calculated solely on the size of land, there are lots of different factors involved. If you send us the details of your land via our request form (link) we can give you a rough offer, generally within 24-48 hours.
Q: How do I know that the offer you give me is fair?
A: We have over 20 years experience in the property and land business and only hire professionals who work to a high standard. If however, you disagree with our valuation, you are under no obligation to accept our offer and are more than welcome to have your own separate valuation done.
Q: Once you’ve made me an offer, how long do I have to think about it?
A: Once we’ve made you an offer, it is valid for 4 weeks
Q: I have land abroad that I would like to sell, would you consider this?
A: No, we don’t purchase land abroad.
Q: Are there any fees?
A: The only fee that we ask you to pay is a contribution towards a survey should we require one. If you decide to use one of our panelled legal representatives, then we will pay their bill. If you decide to use your own legal representative, then we will contribute up to £500 inclusive of VAT.
Q: Is the completion date flexible?
A: Yes. We will always work to a timescale that meets both parties’ requirements.
Q: Is the sale confidential?
A: Yes. No one will know you've sold the land unless you tell them or they check land registry.
Q: Do you carry out any surveys?
A: Yes. This may be before or after we have agreed to purchase your land.
Q: My land it is on the market with an estate agent. Can I still sell it to you?
A: Yes
Q: There are travellers on the land. Would you still consider purchasing the land?
A: Yes
Q: Would you consider a joint-venture in developing the land if it had development potential?
A: Yes
Q: I have a garage to the side of my property. How do I know if it has potential?
A: Simply pick up the phone or apply online and we will be able to discuss whether there is any potential or not
Q: Does the size of the plot/land matter?
A: No, we consider all sizes of land
Q: Do I have to move to sell you my land?
A: No.
